This year, Folk on the Rocks celebrates 30 amazing years of culturally diverse musical talent from across Canada and beyond. Held every third weekend in July with true northern hospitality, the Festival packs live entertainment and musical collaborations for all ages into the greatest summer event North of 60.
Set on the picturesque shores of Yellowknife's Long Lake, the natural amphitheatre provides an ideal backdrop for the Festival's six stages, including a cultural area, beer garden, food fair and arts market - all under the magic of the midnight sun.
Over the past 30 years, Folk on the Rocks has been recognized as one of the top summer festivals in Canada. In 2010, we explore the Festival's Musical Evolution - from its strong roots and passionate growth in the community, to the future of music and the Festival itself.
